MAKELELE UNIVERSTY LAUNCHES A NEW TECHNOLOGY APP TO MAKE NFORMATION EASILY ACCESSIBLE TO STAKEHOLDERS

Makerere University, Uganda’s largest university has announced the launch of its pioneer mobile application, Makapp to make information easily accessible by key stakeholders in the university, especially the students and staff.

The app, launched at a function graced by prominent figures in the university, students and members of the press, have various services which enables the monitoring of activities in the university.
The services it offers include Courses information; Graduate tracking; Equipment and facilities database; Makerere Publication Performance System; News and student guild communication and others.

The app can be freely downloaded from Google Play Store and from the website of Makerere University Quality Assurance Directorate.
The app was developed by Makerere University Quality Assurance Directorate (QAD) and the Directorate of ICT Support (DICTS) and supported by the Swedish Agency for International Development (SIDA).

Makerere University, founded in 1922 and located in Kampala, is Uganda’s largest and third-oldest institution of higher learning.
